As the Eastern Suburbs of the St. Louis Metroplex, our region provides easy access to a number of great attractions in the St. Louis City. Cahokia Courthouse
Built in 1737, it is one of the nation's oldest judicial facilities and one of the few remaining examples of vertical log construction. 618-332-1782


Cahokia Mounds
The Cahokia Mounds World Heritage Site marks the location of an ancient native American Indian city. This city, which flourished between 900 AD and 1200 AD, spread over six square miles and included more than 100 man-made earthen mounds. The largest, Monks Mound, stands 100 feet tall and covers more than 14 acres. A 33,000 square foot, handicapped accessible Interpretive Center recreates scenes of the Indian civilization that occupied the site and explains its historical significance. 618-346-5160

Gateway International Raceway
One of the most versatile motorsports facilities in the world, it opened its doors in 1997. With both the oval and the drag strip, racing excitement is non-stop. National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows
